Where 30 big-city area codes are, which codes share each area, and the places NANPA lists for each one.

Every fact comes from the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA): its NPA Database (file dated October 13, 2026), its rate center report and its planning letters. Each page shows the words a fact rests on and the date it was checked, plus how many local numbers are available in that code, from a search we run at most once a day.

What an overlay is

In an overlay, more than one area code serves the same area. Most of the codes below are part of one. For Dallas, NANPA put it this way:

“The new 945 NPA will serve the same geographic area currently served by the existing 214/469/972 NPA.”

Each area-code page shows how many local numbers Twilio's number search found, with the date of the search. CallFlux buys its tracking numbers through Twilio and runs the search at most once a day for each code; one search lists at most 30 numbers. When a search fails, the page shows no number.
